Skeuomorphism

A Game & Watch handheld game I had while growing up.

This is a collection of graphics from the 2010-2012 era, when drop shadows, gradients, and textures were the design staples. Forget flat design — more is more!

The goal was to replicate real-life objects as realistically as possible, a design approach known as skeuomorphism. It was popularized by Apple with the launch of the first iPhone.

While this style may seem overly abundant by today's standards, it holds a special nostalgic place for me. I can only hope that one day, skeuomorphism will make a glorious comeback!
